Nexum provides the industry with the process that represents the next generation of ethanol/biogas production technology at a very critical time. The process reduces the economic risks of ethanol/biogas production, allows facilities to become fossil fuel free, helping meet low carbon standards, and creates additional profits which are essential when plants want to secure their future in low profit cycles.

The process could become the single most important solution helping Governments as they grapple with mandated changes in emission requirements for the transportation sector. 
  • Nexum Technology provides the solution corn Ethanol plants need to meet California’s low carbon fuel standard
  • The technology reduces the average direct emissions of carbon dioxide from a corn based ethanol plant by 55%
  • The technology makes the plant energy self sufficient, reducing exposure to natural gas pricing
  • The process generates excess biogas, creating a secondary revenue stream
  • Ethanol produced using Nexum’s proprietary process qualifies as ‘Cellulosic Biomass Ethanol’ under the Renewable Fuel Standards Act of 2007
  • The process creates additional profits of approximately US$0.25 to US$0.50 per gallon
