Nexum Asia intends to develop, construct, own and operate renewable energy and agriculture projects in Asia  (Primarily the Philippines, Indonesia, China, Korea, and Vietnam)that will produce biofuels, biogas and biocoal.

Those projects aim to become models for sustainable development in South East Asia, through the respect of strict sustainability standards and the introduction of innovative energy solutions. 

Like North America, Asia is adopting aggressive standards for ethanol blends as they strive for energy independence and a greener environment. There is an immediate need for approximately 100 ethanol plants in South Asian markets as countries like Korea, the Philippines, Thailand, Malaysia, and Vietnam all move towards 10% ethanol mandates as early as 2010. In a market that is desperately short of power, Nexum Asia is well positioned to roll out its fossil fuel free and energy independent technology utilizing crops like Cassava and Sweet Sorghum which do not compete as food sources.

Nexum Asia believes that the biofuels sector in Asia will experience high growth in the next several years due to the availability of economic feedstock, high demand, and strong government sponsorship. Nexum Asia has started its focus in the Philippines but plans to enter other Asian markets such as China, Indonesia, and Vietnam.
